The Descendants of Jonathan or John SCOTT and Ellen (Eleanore) Collins

John and Ellen Collins Scott are the parents of John Wall Scott, Drusilla Scott Wilcox, Joseph Curtis Scott, William Henry Scott, Elijah Scott, James Luther Scott and Lorenzo Dow Scott. According to some census records, John was born either in Kentucky or Ohio about 1790, his wife Ellen was born in Virginia about 14 June 1813. By 1850 John and Eleanor Scott were living in Bureau County, Illinois with their children: Henry, Elijah Lorenzo and Luther. In 1860 Jno. and Ellen were in Henry County, Illinois with Henry, Elijah, Lorenzo and Luther listed in their family. I have not located John or Ellen in 1870 but in 1880, Ellen was widowed and living with her brother, John Collins, in Knox County, Illinois.
