NAME: Beals, Nellie June

 Nellie June Beals, 59, R. 3, died Saturday at Neosho Memorial Hospital after a six-month illness.
 The daughter of Harry and Nellie Beals, she was born Oct. 9, 1919, at Emporia. A resident here 31 years, she worked 17 years at the Burlington Manufacturing Company garment plant and recently at Nu-Wa Industries.
 She was a member of the Powder Puff bowling team and the Womens International Bowling Congress, and was pitcher for the women's state champion softball team.
 Survivors: Three brothers, Justin Q. Beals, Branson, Mo., Austin C. Beals, Oakland, Calif., Addison L. Beals, McPherson; nieces and nephews. A brother, Harry Beals Jr., preceded her in death.
 Funeral: Tuesday 10:30 a.m., Johnson Chapel, the Rev. Carl Orr officiating. Graveside service 2 p.m., Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
