NAME: Brown, Richard Roland (m. Judith Ann Archer)

 Richard Roland Brown, 61, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Jesup, died Saturday, Nov. 9, at home of natural causes.
 He was born April 13, 1935, in Black Hawk County, son of Roland and Eula Winona Bailey Brown. He married Judith Ann Archer on Dec. 23, 1961, in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced.
 Mr. Brown served with the U.S. Army, then attended Iowa State University, Ames, where he earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics. He was employed by the United States Department of Labor as a financial manager and economist in Washington D.C., and then in Denver, Colo., retiring in 1986.
 Survived by : two sons, Roland Eugene Brown of Lakewood, Colo., and Nicholas James Pine at home; a daughter, Elizabeth Anne Duncan of Lakewood; three granddaughters; his mother of Jesup; five brothers, Donald and Gary, both of Independence, Gordon of Columbia, Mo., James of East Peoria, Ill., and Jerald of Orr, Minn.; and longtime companion, Kimberly Pine of Littleton.
 Preceded in death by: a brother, Darrel.
 Services: 1030 a.m. Friday at White Funeral Home, with burial in Old Barclay Cemetery, both in Jesup. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
