NAME: Burleson, Cora May (m. George Lemmuel Scott)

 Cora May Burlesson, daughter of Levi and Mary Burleson, was born in Webster City, January 12, 1877, and died in Webster City, February 12, 1925 at the age of 48 years and 1 month. She was united in marriage to George Scott, August 12, 1894 at Stratford. For two years after their marriage, they lived on a farm in Hardin township, Webster County and then moved to a farm East of town where they lived ten years and then moved to their present farm where deceased has since lived.
 Eleven children came to bless their marriage, seven girls and four boys. Two of the sons have preceded their mother to death. Those who remain to mourn her passing are the husband, seven daughters, and two sons. They are: Mrs. Emma Burton, Stratford, Mrs. Myrtle Davis, Dayton; Mrs. Clara Carpenter, Stratford; Mrs. Daisy Kent, Mumford, N.Y.; Clarence Scott, Webster City; George Jr., Ruth, Florence and Buelah Mae, who live at home. She is also survived by one brother, John Burleson who has made his home with her for many years, and also seven grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Chas Flesher and the remains were interred in the Neese Cemetery.
