Mrs. Taylor, 84, Goes in Death; Rites Saturday
Mrs. Mary Belle Taylor, 84, died at 3:38 a.m. today at her home, 203 Phillips street, following an illness of eight weeks with a complication of ailments.
Mrs. Taylor was born on Dec. 30, 1862, at Marysville, Mo., the daughter of Joseph [sic] and Martha [sic] Shaw Cozad and had made Muscatine here home for the past 25 years. She was married to Nathan Taylor and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are two sons, James Taylor, Muscatine, and Edward Taylor, New Boston, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Will Long and Mrs. Frank Lewis, both of Muscatine; 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents, one daughter and three brothers.
The body is at the residence and will remain there until time for funeral services which will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals by the Rev. Fred Patzel, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery
