Conesville - Services for Samuel D. Cozad, 78, conesville, who died Wednesday afternoon at Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Friends may call at the home after noon Friday.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Cozad was for years a county road maintainer operator and a farmer. He was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church and Nichols Masons and OES.
He married Helen Klopp of Muscatine Nov. 10, 1919, who died Jan. 17, 1963.
On Oct. 12, 1963, he married Esther D. Klopp Connell, who survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Esther) Blackwelder, Glenview, Ill., Mrs. Merle (Ruth) Kemp, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. William (Virginia) Wheeler, Denver, Colo.; a brother, George Cozad, Muscatine; and nine grandchildren.
