 Mrs. Riley (Bernice) Powell, 66, of Jewell, a former Webster City resident, died this morning at the Story City Memorial hospital where she had been a patient the past week.
 She had been in ill health the past year.
 Funeral services are pending and will be announced Friday by the Foster Funeral home.
 She is survived by three daughters and four sons.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Riley (Bernice) Powell, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Dale Kelley officiating and with burial in the West Lawn Cemetary at Lehigh.
 Mrs. Powell died Thursday at the Story City Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient the past week.
 Bernice Loretta Daniels, daughter of Irwin L. and Tina Mae Elliott Daniels, was born Feb. 18, 1916 at Lehigh, and was reared and educated there, attending the rural schools.
 She was married April 17, 1933 to Riley Powell and the couple resided in the Lehigh area until 1954 when they moved to Webster City.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Sept. 20, 1975, and she had continued to live here until 1978, when she moved to Jewell.
 She is survived by three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Lloyd (Dorothy) Long, Lehigh; Russell Powell, Webster City; Gene Ryan, Rhoads, Iowa; Dean Powell, Webster City; Don Powell, Eagle Grove, Mrs. Wayne (Bonnie) Wiese, Jewell; and Diane Burgin of Webster City; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Melvin L. Daniels, Webster City; Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Harrison, Stratford, Mrs. Oliver (Lillian) Anderson, Lehigh, Mrs. Robert (Loveda) Wohlers, Fort Dodge, and several nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son and one daughter, who died in infancy; one great-grandchild; and one brother.
 She was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church.
