RELATIVES GO TO RITES FOR ALBERT DAVIS
Herman Davis, 301 East Springfield Avenue, Mrs. C. S. Abrett and Mrs. Emma Wools, 916 West White Street, have returned from Freedom, Ind., where they were called by the death of Albert Davis, last Wednesday.
Mr. Davis is the father of Herman Davis and brother of Mrs. Wools. He was born Jan. 17, 1860 at Owen County, Ind., and lived in that vicinity all of his life. His marriage to Mary Jane Bowen took place Jan. 20, 1880 and to this union 14 children were born, four of whom have preceded him in death.
Surviving are: The widow, and 10 children; Mildred Ball, Indianapolis, Ind.; Lavina Griffith, Bedford, Ind.; Mrs. Nina Jeffers, Terre Haute, Ind.; Anna Ridner, Detroit, Mich.; Ben, Iowa; Fred, Aredale, Ia.; John of Hansell, Ia.; George, Danville; Herman, Champaign; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Wools.
The funeral was held Friday from the Dutch Bethel Christian Church and burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
