Mrs. Emma Ann Wools, 77, died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her son, Clayton S. Abrell, 1110 West Church street, Urbana. She had been ill several weeks.
The body will reamin at the Abrell home until time for services at 10 a. m. Thursday from the Owens funeral chapel.
Doctor H. Clifford Northcott, pastor of First Methodist church will officiate. The body will then be taken to Freedom, Ind., for services Friday and burial in the Scott cemetery on the old Abrell homestead.
Emma Ann Davis, youngest daughter of Jonathan and Mary Ann Ritter Davis was born Aug. 13, 1862, near Freedom, Ind. One brother and nine half-brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.
Her marriage to Bluford Rowen Abrell took place Aug. 23, 1890 and two sons, one of whom died in infancy, were born to them. Mr. Abrell died March 2, 1901.
She was married to Edmund L. Wools in January, 1911 and he died in 1913. Mrs. Wools moved to Danville from Freedom in 1924 and two years later came to Urbana to make her home with her son and daughter-in-law.
Besides her son, Clayton, she leaves four step-sons, Rowen, Otis, Elsworth and Foster Abrell, all of Freedom; one step-daughter, Mrs. Minnie Strouse, Worthington, Ind.; 29 step-grandchildren; and 50 step-great-granchildren.
