Hampton, IA -- Funeral services for Fred Nelson Davis, Aredale, Iowa, age 83, were held Monday, 28 Feb 1977, at 1:30 p.m. at the Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont, in charge of the arrangements.
 Mr. Davis passed away at the Franklin General Hospital at Hampton, Franklin Co., Iowa, on Friday, 25 Feb 1977. Fred Nelson Davis was born in Lafayette Twp., near Freedom, Owen Co., Indiana, 8 Nov 1893, to Albert M. and Mary Jane (Bowen) Davis.
 His first marriage was to Fleeta Fern Miller, at Aredale, Butler Co., Iowa, on 22 Jan 1914. She was the daughter of Robert D. and Minnie J. (Harlan) Miller, of Aredale, Iowa. Two children were born of this marriage, a son Vern R., born 17 Jul 1914, and a daughter born 27 Nov 1915, who died at birth. This first marriage ended in divorce.
 His second marriage was to Sadie Pearl (Reagan) McKinney, at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada, on 18 Feb 1943. She was the daughter of Andrew George and Julia (Jacobson) Reagan, of Franklin Co., Iowa. Sadie had been married previously to a Mr. McKinney, and had two children by that marriage, a son Lawrence, and a daughter, Pauline.
 Mr. Davis resided in Aredale since 1912 and was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Sadie, of Aredale; a son, Vern R. Davis of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a step daughter Mrs. W.K. Junker Sr., Aredale, Iowa; a stepson Lawrence McKinney, Aredale, Iowa; a brother, George Ritter Davis, of Covington, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred (Davis) Schnitker, Indianapolis, IN, and Mrs. Levina (Davis) Griffith, Bedford, IN; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
 He was preceeded in death by his parents Albert M. and Mary Jane (Bowen) Davis; a baby daughter by his first marriage; a great granddaughter; his first wife Fleeta Fern (Miller) Davis; three brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral Services Held Monday For Fred N. Davis
 Funeral services for Fred N. Davis, Aredale, age 83, were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 28, 1:30 p.m. at the Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont with the Rev. Robert Foster, officiating at the services. Burial was made in the Dumont Cemetery.
 Mr. Davis passed away at the Franklin General Hospital Friday, Feb. 26, at Hampton.
 Frank N. Davis was born Nov. 8, 1893, at Freedom Ind., to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis. He was married to Sadie Regan on Feb. 18, 1933, at Nevada. He was a retired carpenter and had resided in Aredale since 1912.
 He is survived by his wife, Sadie, a son, Vern of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Mrs. W. K. Juncker, Sr., Aredale; stepson, Lawrence McKinney of Aredale; a brother, George Davis, Covington, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Schnither, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Levina Griffeth, Bedford, Ind.; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Davis - Fred Davis of Aredale died February 25 at the Hampton hospital.
 He was born November 8, 1893 at Freedom, Indiana, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis. He is survived by his wife, Sadie, a son, Vern of Cedar Falls, two step children, Mrs. Pauline Juncker and Lawrence McKinney of Aredale, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters of Indiana.
