 He was a licensed electrician out of Local 288 and had owned Davis Electric for many years. He was a 25-year veteran of the Cedar Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
 Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard of Waterloo; a daughter, Deloris Bixby of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Daisy Wickwire of Dumont; preceded in death by three brothers, Everett, Edgar, and Dwight Davis.
 Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ with burial in Greenwood Cemetery; friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, wher the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation also will be an hour before services at the church Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the United Church of Christ.

 Gordon D. Davis, 81, of 716 W. Third St., died Saturday, Sept 4, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, of natural causes.
 He was born Feb. 28, 1912, in rural Aredale, the son of Fred and Lauretta Hauver Davis. He married Letha Lynch June 7, 1935, in Cedar Falls.
