Hilloa Hubbard, 67, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Friday, Oct 7, 1988 at Providence Hospital in Centralia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories with Wallace Bergeson officiating. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of Memories.
Mrs. Hubbard was born Feb. 13, 1921 in Farmington, Wash., daughter of the late Fred and Elsie Easter. She was raised and educated in Farmington. She was married to Robert L. "Chick" Hubbard Sept. 17, 1937 in St. Maries, Idaho. They farmed in the Farmington area until 1951 when they moved to Chehalis. In 1953 they moved to Moses Lake, developing a farm unit in Block 42, where they have lived since.
She enjoyed painting, flower arranging and gardening. She was a charter member of the Farmington Garden Club, a former member of the O'Sullivan Grange of which she helped in the building, a former member of the Columbia Basin Wool Growers Auxiliary, and of the Brush and Palette Club. She also worked as the superintendant for the homemaker's booth at the Grant County Fair for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband, R.L. "Chick" Hubbard, Moses Lake; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. and Hilloah Creigh of Tacoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen H. and Norman Bubel, Pasco, Rhio Heigh and Herbert Lilley, Lancaster, Texas, Rio H. and William Buckner, Walla Walla; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister.
