FUNERAL CARD:

 Lowell C. Hunter - age 70, of Havelock, died Sunday, October 26, 2003, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.
 Lowell Cyrus Hunter was born September 7, 1933, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of C. Earl and Bernice (Peterson) Hunter. He attended country school and graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 - 1958. On June 28, 1956, Lowell married Gwynever Schnetter at Varina. In 1960, the couple settled in Havelock. Lowell worked as a road maintainer operator for Pocahontas County for 36 years, retiring in 1995.
 Lowell was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping and collecting toy tractors.
 Survivors include his wife, Gwen Hunter of Havelock; sons, Mike (Sheryl) Hunter of Omaha, NE and Pat Hunter of Des Moines; daughter, Melinda (Bill) Lovelett of Southbury, CT; four grandchildren, Whitney Hunter; Heather, Ryan and Devyn Lovelett; sisters, Jean (Ken) Stoelting of Sac City; Carol (Dave) Dunning of Tulsa, OK; and Alice Ricklefs of Pocahontas; and a brother, Lyle (Jean) Hunter of Owasso, OK.
 Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Charles Earl, a daughter, Marsha; and a granddaughter, Mercedes.
