 Robert D. Miller, 67, owner and manager of the Elms apartments, 935 Third street west, died of heart diease at 5:15 a.m. Saturday at his home, about 15 minutes after awakening.
 He had been a farmer until eight years ago when he moved to Waterloo from Aredale, Ia.
 Robert D. Miller was born Nov. 10, 1871, at Albany, Ill., the son of Andrew and Fanny Miller. He married Minnie J. Harlan at Aredale, Ia., March 27, 1894. Miller was a member of the Methodist church at Aredale and for many years was superintendent of the Sunday school there.
 Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Fleeta Davis, 227 Cortlandt street; a grandson, Vern Davis, 935 Third street west; three brothers, Frank and Matt, both of Dougherty, Ia., and John, Riceville, Ia.
 Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kearns Garden chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
