ELLIS SCOTT
The funeral for Ellis Emanuel Scott, 81, was conducted Monday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Ballard Funeral home. Mr. Scott died Dec. 26, at West Park Hospital.
After coming to Cody he farmed on Sage Creek, operated an outfitting business for 35 years, worked as a logger, and cut and sold Christmas trees for many years. He also owned and operated the Terrace Motel. His hobbies were hunting and photography.
He was born May 7, 1904 at Crawford, Neb., the son of Emanuel and Della Zumwalt Scott. He was married May 30, 1925 to Laura Cornwell at Gordon, Neb.
He lived in Cody since 1933 and worked as a cement contractor. He was retired. He was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Robert L. and Lloyd M. Scott and Mildred Schotts, all of Cody; two brothers, Alfred, of Garland, Wy., and Floyd Scott of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Jim (Hazel) Gibson and Mrs. Joe (Irene) Botill, both of Rolla, Mo. and Mrs. Jennie Prickett of Orphino, Idaho; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Taylor conducted the service and Daliah Gehrett and Brian Ehrhardt provided special music.
Pallbearers include Larry Scott, William Scott, Howard Scott, Milton Donnafield, Jack Miskelly and Howard Scott.
