GEO. L. SCOTT DIES SUDDENLY
 George l. Scott, 81, longtime resident of Hamilton county and prominent retired farmer, died suddenly yesterday at 12:45 p.m. near the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Clum. Death was attributed to a heart attack suffered while Mr. Scott was walking to town.
 Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. The Jackson funeral home of Stratford will be in charge of services.
 Mr. Scott was born in Cass county July 15, 1868. He came to Hamilton county with his parents when he was two years old, and had always made his home in and around Stratford, farming for many years in the Hooks Point vicinity. He was married to Cora May Burleson who preceded him in death. He had been making his home with Mrs. Clum the past five years.
 Besides his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, William and Glen, and by three brothers, L.W., Harry and Manuel.
 Mr. Scott is survived by seven daughters and two sons: Mrs. Jess Burton of Jordan; Clarence E. Scott, Webster City; Mrs. Chauncey Davis, Calender; Mrs. Fred Carpenter, Zimmerman, Minn.; Mrs. Austin Kent of Kasson, Minn.; Mrs. Floyd Nichols, Jack, Mo.; George L. Scott, Jr., Webster City; Mrs. Herbert Merrill, Stratford, and Mrs. Clum, Stratford.
 Also surviving are three brothers, Lewis of Lewiston, Mont.; Thede of Bear Lake, Minn., and Wallace of Webster City.
