NAME: Smith, Lydia Eaton (b. 9 Apr 1887 - 24 Feb 1889 of scarlet fever)
In memory of Flora May Smith Who died March 3rd 1889.
Another grave is newly made;
On this sad, mournful day;
And beneath the Tomb we lay her form,
The remains of Flora May.
How lonely since her life is done,
Seems more than we can bear;
But she is far from earthly trials,
Its burdens and its care.
Oh God Thou hast bereft us,
Of one who was so dear;
But we know Thou will not forsake us,
But drop some words of cheer.
Released from pain from sorrow free,
Our Flora sleeps her long last sleep;
We call it Death but still she is free
From all things sad that makes us weep.
