MRS. MARTHA VAN AUKEN
 Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Runge mortuary chapel for Mrs. Martha L. Van Auken, resident of this city since 1911 who died at her home (at 310 1/2 Gaines) street, Friday afternoon. She had been ill only five days.
 She was born June 2, 1867, in Port Byron, Ill., attended schools in Columbus City, and was married to Charles Van Auken Dec. 11, 1882, in Columbus Junction.
 Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Burt Worley and Mrs. Thomas Harney, both of Davenport; three sons, Fred, Columbus Junction, Clarence, Muscatine, and Dewey, of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Carver, Manson, and Mrs. Tillie Winter, Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Runge mortuary. Burial will be in the Fairmount cemetery.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Martha L. Van Auken, 310 1/2 Gaines street, who died Friday, were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Runge chapel with the Rev. J.A. Miller officiating. Burial was in Fairmount cemetery.
 Bearers were Harold Stanley, Emmerson Rolling, Howard Van Auken, Eugene and Richard Oakes and Ray Wiedener.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Martha Van Auken
 Funeral services for Mrs. Martha L. Van Auken, mother of Fred Van Auken of this city were held at the Runge mortuary in Davenport at 4 p.m. Monday. Burial was in the Fairmont cemetery. Mrs. Van Auken, a resident of Davenport since 1911, died at 2 p.m. Friday at her home, 310 1/2 Gaines street, following a five days' illness.  She was born June 2, 1867, in Port Byron, Illinois and attended school in Columbus City. She was married to Charles Van Auken, December 11, 1882 in Columbus Junction and made this her home for many years.
 Her husband, and one daughter and one son, preceded her in death.
 Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bert Worley and Mrs. Thomas Harney, both of Davenport; three sons, Fred, Columbus Junction; Clarence, Muscatine and Dewey, Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Carver, Manson amd Mrs. Tillie Winter, Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
 Among those from here who attended the funeral services were Fred Van Auken, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Van Auken, Mrs. LeRoy Thompson, Mrs. Wayne Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Van Auken, Lee Van Auken and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Thompson, Muscatine.
