 Mrs. Frances Thomas Cummings, 75, of 1105 E. Jefferson St., died Monday in a Charlottesville hospital.
 She was born in Albemarle County, daughter of the late Frank M. and Ida Spicer Thomas.
 She is survived by her husband, Allen T. Cummings; two daughters, Miss Dorothy Cummings of Prescott, Ariz. and Mrs. L. Randolph Amiss of Charlottesville; three brothers, Conway G. Thomas of Silver Spring, Md., Albert B. Thomas of Charlottesville and Clarence M. Thomas of Arlington, Va.; and three grandchildren.
 She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
 Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Hill and Irving Chapel, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
