 COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Hannah Evelyn Duncan, 71, of Fredonia, died Tuesday, Dec 21, 1993, at the Colonial Manor Care Center following an extended illness.
 Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.
 Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where a memorial has been established. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
 Hannah Evelyn Van Auken was born March 8, 1922, in Louisa County to James and Edna Hammond Van Auken. She married Gene C. Duncan on Sept. 3, 1938, in Columbus Junction.
 She was owner/operator of the Columbus Junction Maid-Rite in the 1950s and was a cook at the Kingsbury Inn Restaurant in Fredonia.
 Survivors include two sons, Jack of New York, and Robert of Columbus Junction; two grandchildren, Jerry Duncan of Iowa City and Mrs. Scott (Angie) Randolf of Milan, Ill.; and two sisters, Ruth Thompson of Columbus Junction and Shirley Wade of Muscatine.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 1, 1993, a son, Lewis, five brothers and three sisters.

 Funeral services for 71 year old Hannah Evelyn Duncan of Fredonia were held Friday, December 24, 1993, at 10:30 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Rev. Walden Paige officiated. Donna Belle Hughes was organist and Paul Duncan the soloist. Casketbearers were Vern Rode, Dave Thompson, Mark Van Auken, Bryant Fuller, Mike Fuller and Don Hills. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
