 COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Ruth C. Thompson, 79, died early Thursday, May 15, 1997, at her Columbus Junction home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
 Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 27, 1917, near Columbus Junction, a daughter of James and Edna Hammond Van Auken. She married LeRoy "Roy" Thompson on Dec. 24, 1934, in Davenport.
 She had worked at Thatcher Plastic packaging for 11 years.
