PLAN SERVICES FOR POCAHONTAS WORLD WAR VET--Special to The Messenger.
 April 1--Funeral services will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul's church here Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for Joseph J. Wolfe, 46, World War veteran who died Monday in the Veteran's hospital at Des Moines.
 Mr. Wolfe had been ill since December. He was a sergeant in the second division during the war and served two years overseas. He was gassed twice in active service and spent 42 days in a Paris, France hospital. The illness preceeding his death was attributed to the effects of the (?) He had been in the Veteran's hospital nine weeks.
 Mr. Wolfe, an automobile mechanic, was a lifelong resident of Pocahontas. He leaves his widow, his mother, Mrs. C.A. Wolfe of Pocahontas, three brothers, Albert of Rolfe, James, at home, Benjamin of California, and three sisters, Mrs. C.A. Smith and Mrs. J. R. Sinnett of Gilmore City and Mrs. Guy Eccles of Rolfe.
